Let’s face it.
Being a college student is exciting.
You do not only get to see the academic system level up with new courses to take, but also experience the extracurricular system level up with new individuals to meet. You do not only get to see the artistic system level up with new groups to join, but also get to experience the world system level up with new practices to observe.
Even more so, here’s what makes colleges awesome:
You will learn how to be independent.
Gone are those preschool days where your parents send you down to school themselves in the morning, as well as pick you up from school themselves in the afternoon.
Gone are also those middle school days where your parents make you breakfast before going to school themselves in the morning, as well as prepare you dinner after getting home from school themselves in the afternoon.
Gone are even those high school days where your parents ask your older brother to look out for you for a few days, as well as ask the neighbors to look out for you and your brother for a few nights.
You see, being a college student allows you to live by yourself in a place full of those who dream to become successful in life by studying hard like you. You also see, being a college student allows you to live by yourself in a place with a set of rules that are usually abided by those who have families of their own. No parents to wake you up early for school, no parents to prepare you lunch for school, no parents to make you sleep early for school.
But you know what?
Despite the utmost need for you to stand on your own two feet when you’re in college, you can rest assured that your parents are still there for you – and of course, proud of you for being who you are meant to be.
